Training practice

GPs in training

Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice.

Our GP trainees will have had 2 to 4 years of experience as a qualified hospital doctor working in various specialities. They consult patients on their own, under the mentorship of our trainer, Dr Amiel and Dr Shah.

Occasionally we ask permission to video a consultation or for patient surveys. You will always be asked in advance and are given the option not to take part, and this will not affect your care in any way. No recording will be taken without your consent and the camera will be switched off on request. These videos are used only for educational purposes with the doctor doing the consultation and are destroyed after use

Training tomorrow’s doctors

This practice from time to time provides training for medical students from UCL Medical School. We believe general practice has much to offer doctors in training. During their placements with us students may be working with the doctors and nurses during clinics. We may on occasion ask if you would be happy to talk to a student before consulting with your doctor or nurse.

Students are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as all other practice staff. You will always be told if the student will be present prior to your consultation and given the opportunity to decline.
